Prices shot up over this past winter, freight costs doubled, and fuel prices were headed for the moon. Spring came a couple of weeks late this year, and all of our workers were here, planting and weeding. Colossal bills were looming, so when our one of our major customers asked us in May to make 4,000 bouquets for a statewide bouquet special for the 4th of July, we looked at each other, swallowed hard, and said, “Sure, we can do that.”
