Pamela’s brother, a marketing expert for a beverage distribution company in Europe, gave us a book recently, “Why We Buy”, by Paco Underhill (published by Simon and Schuster). Mr. Underhill is an urban geographer and his company, Envirosell, is a research and consulting firm that studies “the behavioral science and anthropology of shopping,” and advises the “big box” stores on how to sell more stuff.
