Clay Bottom FarmIn 2013 I wrote an article for GFM about how one of our CSA customers, the owner of an aluminum trailer company, came out to the farm and helped my wife, Rachel, and I implement lean concepts in our produce business. Lean is a system first used on assembly lines to make work flow more smoothly; now it is in widespread use in all types of industries all over the world. On our farm, we started by reorganizing our tools, redesigning our workspaces, and putting customers first in our management decisions.
