Ever since we ran the article “Re-purposed used silage tarps: surprisingly affordable, versatile,” in the September 2017 GFM, I have been thinking about the program it covered. The program delivered previously used grain bags to the author for use as tarps, for just the cost of shipping.

I wanted to check back in on the program, because I thought it could be a good resource for GFM readers, and I’m thinking of doing a tarping project myself this fall. So, I got in touch with Shane Hedderson, the Western Region Business Manager for the company that has taken over the program, Cleanfarms Incorporated.
